Lakeland Bank Announces Share-A-Gift Program
All locations collecting holiday gifts for local charities
Oak Ridge, N.J. – November 23, 2011 –– All Lakeland Bank office locations will participate in the company’s annual tradition of collecting gifts to support those in the community who need some extra help during the holiday season. A Share-A-Gift tree decorated with special ornaments will be in each office from December 1 through December 16.
“Our Share-A-Gift program is a united effort between our employees and our customers,” said Thomas J. Shara, president and CEO of Lakeland Bank. “Together, we bring cheer to those in our community dealing with difficult situations.”
Each Lakeland Bank office selects a special charity in their community that they want to help during the holiday season. Employees decorate trees with special ornaments that provide details about the gift recipient. The recipient may be a young child, a teenager, a single parent, or even an elderly citizen, but all of them are neighbors who need some assistance. Participation consists of taking an ornament, and in return, giving a gift or cash donation for the individual described on the ornament tag.
“Every year we are pleased to see the level of support and generosity that comes from this program, and we look forward to carrying on this tradition of giving back to the community,” Shara stated.
