Lakeland Bank Colleagues Recognized for 10 Years of Service
Oak Ridge, NJ, April 4, 2013––Lakeland Bank recently recognized five colleagues for their 10 years of service to the company at a ceremony held at the Bank’s corporate office. Lori Buccafusca, Jorge Ferrer, Angela Kohler, Patrick Lasslett and Colin Sytsma all reached this significant milestone.
“It is a pleasure to reward our colleagues for their 10 years of service to the bank. Their long-term commitment to Lakeland Bank and our customers is an accomplishment that deserves recognition,” said Thomas J. Shara, president and CEO of Lakeland Bank.
Lori Buccafusca – Assistant Treasurer, Branch Operations Manager, Montville
Buccafusca joined the Bank in February 2004 as a customer service representative in the Montville Office and was promoted to assistant branch manager in March 2010. In 2013, she was promoted to her current position. Buccafusca previously worked for Bank of New York for 16 years and is a resident of Denville.
Jorge Ferrer – Vice President, Secondary Market Product Development, Mortgage
Ferrer joined the former Somerset Hills Bank in 2004 as a mortgage loan originator and, as a result of the acquisition by Lakeland Bank, was named vice president, secondary market product development in 2013. A graduate of Dale Carnegie Business School, he earned his BS degree in management from Kean University. Ferrer is a licensed NJ Realtor, a member of the Liberty Board of Realtors of Hudson County NJ, National Association of Realtors, NJ Association of Realtors, National Marketing Honor Society Mu Kappa Tau and is a Circuit Speaker with Toastmasters International. He resides in Cliffside Park.
Angela Kohler – Purchasing Administrator, Purchasing, Milton Operations Center
Kohler started in January 2004 as a part-time teller at the Vernon Office, joined full-time later that year, and was promoted to teller manager in 2005. She transferred to loan operations in 2006 as a consumer loan processor and was promoted to the asset based lending division in 2010. In 2012, she was promoted to her current position. Kohler resides in Highland Lakes.
Patrick Lasslett – Vice President, Branch Manager, Sparta Town Center
Lasslett joined the Bank in October 2003 as an assistant treasurer – branch manager of the Andover Office and Bristol Glen Office. He relocated out-of-state for a short time and returned in November 2005 as an assistant vice president – branch manager. Lasslett was promoted to his current position in 2012. He serves on the Sparta Economic Development Committee and is a member of the Sparta Chamber Council. Lasslett resides in Stillwater.
Colin Sytsma – Assistant Vice President, Accounting Analyst, Finance
Sytsma joined the Bank in 2002 as a teller, left the Bank later that same year to pursue other opportunities and returned in 2004 to work in the loan department. In 2005, he transferred to the finance department as an accounting assistant, and was promoted in 2011 to assistant treasurer, accounting analyst. Sytsma was promoted to his current position in 2013. He graduated from New Jersey Institute of Technology with a BS in statistics. Sytsma resides in Sussex.
