Commercial Loan Officer - Newton 14159
8:30 AM -- 5:30 PM
Candidate must have a BA in business, accounting or finance. Must have 10+ years of commercial loan experience handling owner occupied real estate and C&I loans. Familiarity with the Sussex County market a plus. Candidate must demonstrate successful business development through external referral sources throughout Northern New Jersey and surrounding communities with the ability to originate $10MM+ in loans on a consistent basis with commercial fee income. Knowledge and understanding of credit evaluation, underwriting skills and presenting loans in the $250,000 to $5,000,000 range required. Must have the ability to analyze complex financial statement, tax returns and perform cash flow analysis. Must be detailed oriented and possess excellent verbal, written and organizational skills. Applicant must be able to work independently and as a part of a team, handle numerous demands, possess excellent analytical skills and work well under deadline pressure. The applicant must be proactive, anticipate problems and take corrective action early. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel. Prior experience or aptitude for Baker Hill and other banking internal systems is a plus. Must be bondable.
Candidate must be able to effectively present loan requests to various committees. Ability to identify prospects through contact network, underwrite specific credit requests and subsequently handle administration of those accounts required. Identify potential borrowers and evaluate their overall creditworthiness. Manage thet entire credit approval process from preparation of the credit to closing. Assist in monitoring and managing existing portfolio of accounts including modifications, amendments, renewals, past dues, etc. Develop and maintain an active pipeline for commercial loans. Maintain active involvement in asset participation or loan assignment with other commercial banks. Solicit for various depository account relationships.
