Lakeland Bank Announces Officer Promotions
Oak Ridge, N.J. – May 14, 2014 – Thomas J. Shara, president and chief executive officer of Lakeland Bank recently announced the following officer promotions.
Barbara Ann Caine to Assistant Vice President – Human Resources. Caine joined the former NBSC, now Lakeland Bank, in March 1987 as a word processor/receptionist and transferred to human resources in 1988 as a clerk. She was promoted in 1994 to human resources assistant, left briefly in 1996, and returned as assistant director of human resources later that year. Caine was promoted to assistant treasurer, human resources in September 2011. She is a resident of Wantage.
Maura Lapinski to Assistant Vice President – Loan Closing Manager. Lapinski joined Lakeland Bank in May 2001 as a mortgage specialist. Prior to joining the Bank, she worked for Newton Trust as an assistant vice president-loan officer. She was promoted to assistant treasurer, mortgage loan officer in March 2012. Lapinski has served as a trustee for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Sussex County for several years and resides in Hardyston.
Sharon Space to Assistant Vice President – Computer Operations Manager. Space joined the former NBSC, now Lakeland Bank, in September 1978 as a bookkeeper in the operations department. She left to work for a family business in 1988 and returned in October 1990 as a teller. Space transferred back to operations in March 1992 and advanced to assistant manager, computer services. Space was promoted to assistant treasurer, computer operations manager in March 2011. She is a member of the Sussex Wesleyan Church and the North Jersey Exotic Bird Club. Space is a resident of Lake Hopatcong.
Robert Surovich to Assistant Vice President – Portfolio Manager.Surovich joined Lakeland Bank in September 2012 as an assistant treasurer, senior credit analyst for the commercial loan – Wyckoff lending team. He transferred to the position of assistant treasurer, portfolio manager in April 2013. Prior to joining the Bank, Surovich worked for Hudson Valley Bank as a junior relationship manager. He holds a BBA in finance with a minor in economics from Iona College, and currently resides in Closter.
Giuseppe Cascio to Vice President – Branch Manager. Cascio joined Lakeland Bank in May 2001 as a teller. He advanced within retail banking and was promoted to assistant treasurer, branch manager in April 2007 and to assistant vice president, branch manager in March 2011. He is a graduate of ITT Marco Polo in Italy and is a member of the Knights of Columbus. Cascio currently manages the North Haledon Office and is a resident of Wyckoff.
Joseph Dolan to Vice President – Financial Advisor. Dolan joined Lakeland Bank in December 2005 as an assistant vice president, financial advisor. Prior to joining the Bank, he worked for Essex National Securities. Dolan has 16 years of experience in the financial services industry, and earned his BBA in finance from Iona College. Currently based in the Sussex-Wantage Office, Dolan is a Little League coach and is a resident of Wantage.
Eftychia Gizas to Vice President – Area Manager. Gizas joined Lakeland Bank in May 1987 as a transit operator. She transferred to a teller position and advanced within retail banking working at the Newfoundland, Pompton Plains and Wharton Offices. She was promoted to assistant vice president, branch manager in January 2010. Gizas currently manages the Milton and Wharton Offices. She is a resident of Hopatcong.
Jennifer Hopper to Vice President – Branch Manager. Hopper joined Lakeland Bank in February 1994 as a part-time teller in Milton. She advanced within retail banking and was promoted in July 2001 to assistant treasurer, branch manager of Frankford. In August 2003, she transferred to the Vernon Office and was promoted to assistant vice president, branch manager in January 2007. Hopper is a member of the Vernon Chamber of Commerce and is a volunteer fundraiser for The Last Resort Animal Rescue. She currently manages the Vernon Office and resides in Highland Lakes.
Albert Losco to Vice President – Area Manager. Losco joined the Bank in August 2012 as an assistant vice president, branch manager of the Lafayette Office. He was promoted to assistant vice president, cluster branch manager in August 2013. Prior to Lakeland Bank, he worked for Capital One Bank, formerly North Fork Bank, in Hewitt for 12 years as a branch manager and financial consultant. He attended Bergen Community College and holds life and health insurance licenses. In addition, he has Securities Licenses 6, 7, 63 and 65. Losco manages the Lafayette and Branchville Offices, and is a resident of Vernon.
Hafeza Mohammed to Vice President – Area Manager. Mohammed joined Lakeland Bank in April 2011 as an assistant vice president, branch manager for the Morristown Office. In her new role, she manages the Butler and Carey Avenue Offices. Prior to joining the Bank, she worked for Santander Bank as an assistant vice president, community banking branch manager in West Orange. Mohammed has more than 20 years of banking experience and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of West Indies. She is a member of the West Orange Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club and currently resides in Kearny.
Linda Redyke to Vice President – Application Administrator and EPO Manager. Redyke joined Lakeland Bank in July 2010 as an assistant treasurer, application administrator in the computer services department. She was promoted to assistant vice president, application administrator in March 2013 and recently assumed the additional responsibilities of the Enterprise Program Office. Prior to joining Lakeland Bank, she worked as an assistant controller for Sussex Bank. Redyke is a resident of Vernon Township.
